Highly recommend staff Rachele, who is a competent and professional nail artist.My nail was handled to another staff… at the start. It went quite disappointing due to the lack of careful treatment and manicure skills, which ended up with messy dead skins and cuticle scratching.The staff immediately responded to my concern, swapping to Rachele who eventually completed my nail. The experience went absolutely fantastic since then, and the finish product definitely meets my satisfaction.HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place and Rachele as I appreciate their professional skills as well as attitude in dealing with situation like this.read more

I would 100% recommend Janea nails (both branches!) to anyone looking for a consistent place to go to for waxes, nails… and other treatments. I did the wax, manicure and pedicure.For the wax, I had Rachele, who not only did an amazing job on quickly waxing my face and legs, but making sure I was happy with the results and advising on different hair removals. She also made sure to explain or give her thoughts on what would be best for my face, and whether it was necessary to wax my entire face.For the deluxe manicure and pedicure, I had the amazing Kiki. The pedicure was very thorough and I was given a lot of tips on at-home self care to do and my feet are very smooth now! For the manicure, my nails were ruined from another nail place and Kiki gave advice on what gel she could do (between BIAB and normal Gel), and went the extra mile to make sure my nails were even, cared for and gave aftercare advice on what to do to maintain my nails, as they were worn down a lot from a previous place (not Janea!!!).Overall, Janea’s staff were lovely, treated me with a lot of care and respect but aldo didn’t try to push anything on me that I didn’t want to try or buy. They instead provided a lot of helpful advice on what to look out for in terms of nail care, how to properly remove my gel, and which ges are best to use for what situation.This is now going to be my go-to nail and beauty place!!!read more

I’ve been to both sites and I love them both, always such a nice chilled atmosphere – not too noisy and… staff will leave you to relax if you’re not feeling too chatty (something that always makes me anxious at salon appointments) Gel pedicure in particular is always a lovely experience. The finish of the nails was great, but I got the impression they where rushing. I could see the person who came after… me and they seem book their appointments back to back. Still it was clean, they serve drinks that you can buy too and they offer loyalty discounts. They also don’t use electric tools which is great and they do very good removals. I.e they don’t rip off nails, they actually soak them off which is great and not all salons do.read more

Clean place but the vibe was strangeAsked an opinion on what I should get and staff were quite rude not recommending… much and basically made me feel like an idiot for not knowing what BIAB was (chapel walks)Went to the king street one and again staff were giving me weird looks and the general energy was offThey’re ok for nails not amazing but need to work on their customer serviceAlso really picky about time and criticised me for booking the wrong treatment online ?Paying to get my nails done not to be looked at like I’m annoying booking the wrong time and asking for advice lol it was a blonde girl at chapel walks (not the one with glasses she was lovely)Be nice to your clients! Unfortunately I had a bad experience at Janea nails yesterday. I came early was in a great mood and pre booked my nail… biab removal and new set of gels. When I arrived I didn’t feel very welcomed and when I asked if I could have an extension for a nail that had broken (which I have regularly asked for at nail salons no problem) my technician said “she didn’t have time” which I found very odd as I have pre booked my time with her in advance and even arrived 5 minutes earlier. She was reluctant to add an extension making my nails odd- she then spent 1.45hr doing not a great job at removing my BIAB. I wanted natural looking gel nails and the pink colour looked very unnatural on my skin tone I voiced my concern as soon as she did one nail and she reassured me the colour would change after filling. It didn’t. I said I didn’t like the colour and she said I should have said something earlier. I ended up leaving with only 9 nails semi done in an awful pink colour, the one I needed the extension left bare after nearly 2 hours. So disappointing and it really bought me down when as a regular nail client getting my nails done normally is such a lovely experience. I still paid and left with my nails unfinished. I had to pay for them to be removed somewhere else. I won’t be going to Janea nails again.read more

I came in here for gel extensions. The standard of finish was ok but not perfect. However, given the price point I was… expecting a better finish. The customer service is good and they didn’t use any electric tools on my nails which was great but the work itself could be better if the prices are going to compete with other better nail salons.read more

Amazing experience!I booked last minute after getting my nails done elsewhere in the morning and them being awful and… needing fixing. Janea booked me in, fixed my nails and were lovely throughout. Janea was really really good when it opened but it has gone a bit downhill recently. The last few times I’ve been it’s… been really rushed, the girls seem annoyed to be doing my nails and they rush so much they actually hurt your nails! Also they just don’t look as good as they used to, you could do a similar standard yourself. This is not reflective of all the girls there, but on the whole the standard has definitely declined.read more

AVOID.I only used the waxing service. If you don’t want to ruin your summer holiday, AVOID. I believe it is a… combination of factors: the room did not have enough light, so I have parts where the wax was not used, the wax is of poor quality, and perhaps the technique was incorrect. Worst of all, I trusted the person to look after me and was left disappointed. I can go to the beach, two days after my appointment, and my summer holiday is ruined, so AVOID.read more

Marta has been doing amazing job… bringing my nails back to health, and one month later they finally stop splitting and break much less. Her work is immaculate, and she’s lovely. I was… greeted by Eloise, picked my colour (‘petal’ – a dusty, light pink), and was then greeted by my lovely manicurist, Chloe. I am in love with my manicure, and what made it even better was the warm, personable environment of the salon! I think someone different has done my nails pretty much every time… I’ve been (about 6 times) and everyone has done them to the same high standard, they’re really reliable. I couldn’t be more than happy 😍 , i had the best pedicure with Chloe 🌸. . It was so aromatic with hot towel which… made me refresh as i have a really busy days and walking 15-20 kilometres per day. . My feet wanted something to tone and give back the smooth sense. . I’ve been to Janea a few times now and don’t see myself needing to go anywhere else for nails now! The staff are all… incredibly friendly and know what they’re doing. The salon is clean, spacious, and comfortable.I’m pretty clueless about things like Gel Extensions, but Eloise explained how it worked really clearly, and was sure to ask me exactly what I wanted each step of the way. I always walk out completely happy with how my nails look, which has never been the case elsewhere.Every service is worth the price, you will really be looked after here.read more

I went the first time doing nails with gel and nail art extensions, it was amazing and I was very well received!… However a week later three of my nails left on their own! It was fixed and this second time was not well received, in addition to fixing my nails with a fake nail extension (my extension was all gel which was the service that I applied). In the end they still had the can to charge me for the nail arrangement! (It was only a week ago) To make matters worse when I got home I saw that I had one nail bigger than the other! Horrible service! Low quality material! I do not recommend!read more

This is the only place I will go for mani/pedis! Chloe does a beautiful job every time I’m there, picking out cool… funky colour combos that I would have never tried if it weren’t for her and now I can’t just go with only one colour! The entire team at Janea are all very pleasant and friendly, making you feel comfortable and relaxed on every visit. They keep the place looking fresh and spotless and work safely with masks and shields. Their online booking system is convenient and easy to use and their opening hours are extensive and accommodating for those with busy work schedules. Had been coming here for years and loved the place so I put 200 pounds behind the counter for my treatments for the… month. It was my first time at the new location and I had the worst time and don’t want to return. The staff are well aware I am allergic to all nail treatment and take anti histamines to make sure I can use them. I am especially allergic to tips and the glue etc. I specifically asked for gel pot because of this and when I arrived even though my other nails were all fully gel the lady tried to put a tip on me, argued that it wasn’t on the notes (when I checked after it was) and then said it’s fine and proceeded to do it correctly. This is just pure laziness. She made me feel so uncomfortable during my whole appointment and I never want to come back again. It’s not worth giving myself an allergic reaction for this kind of service so I asked for a refund for the 130 I hadn’t spent yet. I kept the poor service quiet as I didn’t want to make a fuss and now they’re saying I have to send pics to prove for a refund???? Making me jump hoops to get one. Attached is a pic of the lack of effort the lady put into my nails as shown with my thumbs which are two completely different sizes. Used to be amazing now I wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Excellent salon in a good edge of the city centre location. Brilliant opening hours including late nights and sundays.… Staff are always helpful and kind. I have had intimate hot wax here which was done very well and at a good price. The salon is very clean and tidy with a calm atmosphere. I have also had pedicures here which have been brilliant. It’s a nice touch that you can buy a glass of Prosecco to enjoy with it and a 2 for 1 offer at certain times. The staff are all very friendly and really seem to appreciate and value their customers. I’ve had both pedicures and nail extensions at Janea and loved them every time. The ladies are so friendly, the salon… is immaculate and the coffee is lovely. The chairs for the pedicures are super comfy and there’s no sticking your leg under a table and getting cramp! I was warmly greeted and the place was cosy and tidy but I am very disappointed with the manicure and pedicure. The… whole experience took longer than expected and the result was quite poor. The polish was applied too thick, bubbled, didn’t dry properly and was already ruined (not even 2 hours later.) They were very professional and reapplied the polish but the end result was quite the same (even worse) because they tried to use acetone and then decided to apply one extra layer on top of the smudged nail polish whilst they were blaming the heat for the inconvenience.The pedicure also did not include proper callus scraping.Poor quality and bad experience.read more

Staff are really friendly, professional and helpful. The manicure and pedicure is greatly done. They use lovely… smelling stuff which they also sell. Gel colours are pretty and have loads of options. There is also a girl that does great nail art! The only thing I might suggest is, if you are looking for regular nail polish put on, then they don’t have many options for colour. At Janea I have received manicures and pedicures from Eloise and Adel. I’m always worried when going to new salons in… case they don’t have the colour selection I want, or won’t be able to do the designs I want. If you have these problems I would definitely recommend Janea as the girls have an amazing gel bottle colour selection and always step up to the designs I want, and the studio is always immaculate. I have been going to Janea since they opened and had a number of the girls do my nails and I am always happy with the… result. My nails are getting stronger after every visit and are no longer breaking. They all take a lot of care when removing my gels and treating my cuticles. They have a fantastic range of colours and always are able to accommodate any design I come in wanting. Shout out to Eloise who steps up to every nail art challenge so far. The salon itself is always very clean and is nicely decorated. Couldn’t recommend them all enough.read more

Love don’t nails! I have gel and they lasted for 3 weeks no chipping until I had time to pop in again. What an incredible place, finally, in the very heart of Manchester! Amazing quality and service, never felt so welcome… and looked after. Worth to mention there is free prosecco with the first treatment and any other glass is just £4, which is an absolute bargain for the city centre.
